Camping, Lake Erie, Ontario, Turkey Point Prov. Pk.
Turkey Point is the only Provincial Park that also has a Golf Course. It is directly beside the campground and golfing is open most of the year. The Golf Course and Camping Area are at the top of a hill or cliff. It is a well treed camping area. A short trip down the hill there is a great sand beach that goes for miles. Campers can park in the Provincial Park area right on the beach. There are washrooms and change houses right there. The beach is great for children as it is shallow and goes in very gradually for a long way before it gets deep. There don't tend to be too many waves. Beaches on Lake Erie have few stones or shells, just sand. Even those who don't swim can sit in shaded areas and watch all the boats and beach activities of every description. Right across the road are restaurants, mini golf, ice cream, playground, stores. The drive along the beach is lovely and at the extreme west yachts can be viewed entering and leaving into the Bay.
