Camping, Lake Huron, Ontario, Point Farms Prov. Pk.
Goderich, Ontario is a very pretty Town on Lake Huron. The center downtown shopping area is like a wagon wheel with streets branching out all around the core. Miss your turn and around you go again. Some streets take you to the harbor and sunset beach area. One takes you to old Jail and one to large Museum. To the north you will go along Lake Huron and soon come to the turnoff to Point Farms Prov. Park. It is only a short drive so side trips to Goderich are easy and there are great things to do and see there on those camping days when rain or cold set in. Point Farms was the site of an older Tourist Resort and also a farm. When first opened there were not many trees but now they have grown and it is quite forested. The camping is at the top of a high bluff. Because the lake is to the west the sunsets are grand. There are trails that can be fun and you can walk or drive down the hill to the beach/picnic area. It is popular because it is not too far from many Towns and Cities inland.
