Canada Day Info
July 1st is Canada Day. This is the one holiday Canadians celebrate on the actual day (unless it falls on Sunday then it is on the next Monday). People are heading out to go camping, (all the parks will be booked) and visiting friends, traveling, etc. The Maple Leaf Flag appears on all types of clothing like T Shirts, hats, caps, socks, beach towels, shopping bags. Most homes will have Maple Leaf Flags somewhere. Parades and fireworks will likely be held on July 1st at many places. Many ethnic parties occur because we have citizens from countries all over the world who live here. This is our country's birthday and we are ready to celebrate. Some years the U.S.A.'s July 4th will fall on the same weekend and then border places like Niagara Falls are very busy as we both like to travel back and forth.
