Brassica, include Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage. These are rich in antioxidants. Leafy Greens, like Spinach, have Lutein that can prevent eye problems as one gets older. The also have folic acid a B Vitamin important for pregnant women to consume. Nuts, even though they can be high in calories, a few daily are very good for you. Orange and Yellow vegetables, like Carrots, Peppers, Squash get their color from beta-carotene an antioxidant. Salmon, has Omega-fatty acids that can reduce blood clots. Tomatoes, have lycopene another antioxidant. Whole Grains, found in bread, cereals, rice are much better than white products. These are just a few of the good for you foods that will keep you healthy.
