How to Have a New Car
So you would like to have a nice or better still a new car. This advice is especially addressed to young persons. We always had a new car and we bought it with the money we did not spend on smoking and drinking. You may be thinking that this would not buy a car. Think again. I am using figures for Ontario in Canada so you will have to do your own adjusting to your hometown. If you smoke one pack of cigarettes a day this is $9.00 times 30 days making approximately $180.00 per month. Now we add the liquor which could be more or less, but as you drink you always want more as the years go by. I am figuring on a fairly heavy drinker at $20.00 daily times 30 making a total of $600.00 per month. Well there you have $780.00 that would go a long way toward that new car. Now if you are a couple just double that and come up with $1560.00 per month. Actually, if you figure by days there are more than I have here, but this is just an example. If you already are hooked try putting money in a container every time you give up using these items of enjoyment. You will soon have the down payment on that car. Remember young folks. If you don't bite you won't get caught. Of course, this could apply to other things we should not be using and they could be even more expensive.

I would guess that anyone who spends $600/month on booze is never sober enough to drive a new car anyway.
