Internet Filing System
When I first started using the computer and internet my friend said I could save any information in the computer itself. Well, being an older person, I like to see things that are tangible. I decided to start my own information saving system. I bought four (but have added more since then) of those little recipe boxes, a couple packages of recipe cards, and a set of index cards. Outlay about ten dollars. With a marker, I put initials on the ends of each one A-D, E-J, D-Q, R-Z. This seems to hold about the correct amount. I have these sideways on a shelf beside the computer. When I begin a new project such as this, I start a new card with the name at the top and the date in the other corner.
Other information such as id name, password, items that relate to this project, etc. Affiliate sites are also done this way along with what pages they have been put on or what changes have been made. Surfing sites can have info such as Manual or Automatic and dates surfed or number of points earned. You can also note if you have paid to join something or to buy some services. Once you file them in alphabetical order they are easy to find and change or add new items. I hope this might be of help to you.
