Robin In The Rain
Robin in the rain. What a happy fellow. Pretty Robin in the rain. We used to sing this as kids. Well, today it has been raining for two days and the Robins in my yard are very pleased. They come here most days, but now they are really having a great time looking and listening for worms under the grass. I think they can hear them under the ground as they walk around and then pounce on one. It is usually a nice big one that they will pull out and then nibble on. My Dad used to have one of those soaker hoses and he would put it where my Mom could see from inside. The Robins just loved that on a dry day and it gave her some entertainment. Once I had a Robin build its nest right on my front porch and I could watch it from inside. That was neat too.
