The Great Lakes, Ontario
Lake Ontario is the most easterly and smallest of The Great Lakes. It is joined to Lake Erie by Niagara Falls, and ships traveling The St. Lawrence Seaway must bypass Niagara via The Welland Canal. At the east it goes into The St. Lawrence River. Lake Ontario divides Canada and U.S.A. and just the opposite to Lake Erie it is more heavily populated on the Canadian side and more rural on the American side. Rochester, New York is the largest city on the U.S. side. On The Canadian side there are continuous cities from the border at Niagara Falls around what is known as "The Golden Horseshoe" to past Toronto. A large percentage of Canada's population lives in this area and it is highly industrialized. Toronto is one of Canada's busiest cities. Hamilton has always had many steel mills. Of course, Niagara Falls is one of the most famous and popular tourist areas for people from all over the world. It is so beautiful I hope you can see it sometime. On both sides of Lake Ontario are also great farmlands and orchards and grape growing areas. There are also many beaches, parks, fishing, and camping areas. See more at the link I have added.
