Whistling Swans Have Arrived
This morning they were flying over my head and it is great to hear that Whistling that is the first note of Spring here on the north shore of Lake Erie. To be right below as the large white Swans go right above is quite a feeling. I had never heard of them before I moved to this area. With the warmer weather some even stay most of the Winter as long as there is open water, but most moved on once it got colder. Soon they will be eating in the cornfields from the fallen kernels, a what a noise that can be. Binoculars are always helpful and you can get a nice closeup view. Now this is getting me thinking of Spring Flowers as well.
