Wind Farms About six years ago inquiries were being made into construction of windmills along Lake Erie for electric power. With many local farm owners in favor this became a large undertaking. Today there are a line of turbines from Port Rowan to Port Burwell to Port Bruce. These are hooked to lines that carry the power along a corridor north to Tillsonburg for processing. There are two things that nature provides us with to replace oil. These are wind and sun. The more we can make use of these the better things should be in the future. Solar panel farms are also being considered in this area. I often wonder how much oil can be sucked from the underground before it is gone. This has taken millions of years to form and will not be replaced in short time. I also wonder what replaces the spaces that have to occur when it is removed? Of course I am not a scientist. Some are suggesting water to replace oil for cars. Well, water is another absolute necessity for life, even more so than oil.
